April’s event has come and gone, and I can’t wait to share it with you! We had a fabulous group of ladies attending as well as teaching and sharing with us.
Heather Marshall taught us how to capture some of our personal history with: “Legacy Stories: Capturing the Spirit of Your Life.” Virginia Kirwan shared on “Herbal Teas for Spring Relief and Summer Health,” with lots of tips for dealing with allergies, as well as menopause and other hormonal issues we women face.

Marianne Frederick was also with us and shared on a topic we all really need: “How to Have Energy Left at the End of the Day.” I’ll share more about what each of the ladies taught us in my next few blog posts.

Do you see the container Valerie is holding in my next pic? This is something wonderful I’ve found, glass Tea Tigers! They are the perfect thing for herbal tea on the go. You put in your boiling water and loose tea to brew. There is a tiny strainer at the top of the container, so all you drink is your brewed tea and not the loose stuff. It’s been great to use! I have a few left at the shop, they are $28. Also shown in this picture are our goody bags, with lots of fun stuff inside so everybody had a little treat to take home with them.
The event was held at Bocca Ristorante off of Poinsett Highway in Greenville. If you want real Italian food, you have to visit them! The food is absolutely wonderful, and the staff is too!
Some of our food included Parmesan-Almond Crusted Basa. This is a flaky white basa fish with basil, bread crumbs, almond, parmesan crust, sautéed spinach, and pasta. This dish will just melt in your mouth, so tasty!
Another delicious dish was Chicken Parmigiana. Bocca serves the classic preparation, with pasta marinara. Yum!
This is some of the tea we sampled: The Lady In Red, which is a blend with clover, raspberry and honeybush. Stir in a little real honey from The Carolina Honey Bee Company and you have one yummy drink which is really good for you too! The tea is helpful for hormone issues, hot flashes and overall good health for women. The honey helps with allergies and is the perfect sweetener.
Now to share the most important part of my event: my pictures of all the lovelies that attended with all of their lovely hats!
Marianne had the fabulous idea for all of us to come in our most festive tea hat! Several ladies brought their own, some were borrowed from extras Marianne brought.
The variety seemed endless, and was so much fun! Look, I think I spotted a princess!
The event was enjoyed by everyone. New friends were met. Old friends were happy to enjoy a delicious meal together.
It was a fabulous start to our weekend.
Don’t forget to be watching for upcoming posts as I continue to share all the things we learned that day. Until then…….create a beautiful day!
