So as always I am crazy behind! So this month’s Newsletter is going to be about all the crazy amount of events that we have taking place in April!

The Eyes Have It In March
I always think we should talk about eyes in March – some how it just seems to go with St Patty’s Day.
Here are some interesting facts and ways in which Raspberry Moon can help you achieve the best look possible.
Since 3500 BC items have been used to enhance the eyes. Both men and women applied black or green tones on their eyes and lashes for both style and function. The colors were sometimes used as sun shields, also believed to be aphrodisiacs, and used to evoke the image of the Sun God, Ra.
I have a few Kohl Eyeliners from India – they glide super well. They are on sale for only $3. When they are gone they are gone!
From 1533 to 1603 women dyed their brows and lashes in reddish tones in honor of Queen Elizabeth. The ingredients used to create the dyes were a dangerous mixture of rhubarb, and oil of vitriol which is a concentrated form of sulfuric acid.
There are a wide variety of shades (non-toxic!) that can be used to enhance your natural lashes and brows. You may be amazed at what a little coloring will do to create a beautiful frame for your eyes.

We are proud to be a Sponsor and participating in the 11th Annual Spa for Spays Event hosted by Speak for Animals. I will be out of the office all day setting up and will also be offering EcoFin Hydrating Treatment for the Hands and Feet. At Zen, 924 S. Main Street, Greenville, SC
We have all sorts of great things going on this year, some new services, awesome Silent Auction items, and a Boutique full of all sorts of great new or gently used goodies for sale, and the ever popular Silly Shot Photo Booth.
We are still looking for practitioners, silent auction items, and items for the Boutique. So organize those closets, clean out those drawers and help support our furry, 4 legged friends.
There may be spa services still available – if so you can pay $40 at the door tonight. Otherwise, $20 at the door still gets you in for the Boutique, Silent Auction, and all the other fun!
Other March Happenings
There are so many cool things happening this month. March is International Month and Upstate International has a plethora of events taking place. So be sure to check out their calendar.
Be sure to come hang out with me at The Istanbul Cultural Center on Saturday, March 18 from 1130 to 1pm for the Turkish Cooking Class. We will be making Pide (Turkish Pizza). The cost per class is $15, and you can register online.

April 7th – I am super excited to have Taina Asili y la Banda Rebelde, a band from NY that I met a few years ago performing here in Greenville again. They will be at The Spinning Jenny in Greer on Friday, April 7th. And if you are planning to go to Tedx Greenville, during the day on Friday you can catch a little taste of their music. I will have more information coming soon but be sure to mark your calendars.
April 8th – Turkish Cooking Class Red Lentil Ball – I love taking these classes. I hope that you can come join in some delicious fun! This is the next to the last class for the season. Find out more and register on their website.
April 21st – We are trying to have a bourbon tasting with proceeds benefiting a charity. More info coming in April.
April 22nd – Ladies Night at The Istanbul Cultural Center – This will be a gathering to educate all of us on head coverings of various faiths. I will have more info coming in April.
April 25th – This will be a discussion about Women in Islam at the Istanbul Cultural Center. Do you have questions about women’s roles in Islamic society? We are still working on exactly what this will be but for sure mark your calendars for that evening and come prepared with questions.

Appointments and Online Booking
Did you know that we now have an online booking system? Check it out at www.RaspberryMoonST.com (click the Book Your Appointment button on the right). This system enables us to send appointment confirmations, reminders, and allows you to change your appointment.
I do my best to get everyone in at their preferred times. If for any reason you are unable to make your appointment please let me know a minimum of 2 days beforehand. You will receive an email when you book your appointment and should also receive your appointment reminders via email 2 days beforehand. Please be sure to check your spam folder and add us to your safe list! Remember this is a courtesy reminder, not reading your emails is not a good reason for missing your appointments. If you do not show up for your appointment you will be charged the full service or if cancel with less than 24 hour notice you will be charged a $25 fee. I understand emergencies happen but we all need to respect each other’s time.

- April 27 to May 1 – I am heading out to AZ for a Skincare Business and Wellness Retreat with SkinScripts. This is the line of skincare I have been using for some fun new enzymes and masks. I really have enjoyed using their product line and their education is top notch. I can’t wait to see what all we learn and in a beautiful setting in Tempe, AZ. Then I am off to Salt Lake City for a few days to see some friends, check out their new adventure – Prohibition Ink. My friends are fabulous artists so I am going to pick their brains for some design advice on my new project that I will tell you about soon!
