PechaKucha (PK) Nights are Back in Greenville!!

We are so excited to team up with some awesome people and bring PK Nights back to Greenville!
What is PechaKucha you say? Well, PechaKucha Nights are informal and fun gatherings where creative people get together and share their ideas, works, thoughts, holiday snaps — just about anything, really, in a PechaKucha 20×20 format (20 slides, 20 seconds per slide).
Mark your calendars for June 7, 2019, come enjoy First Friday in the Village and then head over to Brains on Fire – see their new digs; meet some cool people; learn something fab and then head out for some fun or home for your comfy pjs!
Presenters are like a “Box of Chocolates” so you never know what you might be inspired by or learn.

All of our events will coordinate with First Friday Art Crawl. Can’t make June? Sad as that may be, we have 3 more nights scheduled and you are welcome to any and all of them!
- Friday, September 6, 2019
- Friday, December 6, 2019
- Friday, March 6, 2020
Doors will open at 7:30 pm with presentations starting at 8:20pm (yep 2020 on the 24 hour clock, hence the 20 slides, 20 seconds!)
I hope you will come check out this fun event, meet some new people and learn something you didn’t know before you walked through the door.

Facial of the Month – Tropical Oasis Facial with an Added Twist
Since I am heading out to Hawaii June 15, I thought this facial was only fitting. This may be available in July as well but Skin Script has already sold out! So, what I have is what I have.

This Tropical Papaya Enzyme with either the Seaweed Mask or the Kukui & Macadamia Nourishing Mask combine this summer for a gentle and healing facial for dry, chapped, inflamed or irritated skin.
Papaya fruit, papaya seeds, and Perfection Peptide 3 are the exfoliating properties of this enzyme. They gently loosen and dissolve dull skin cells to reveal fresh, vibrant skin.
Choose from one of two mask options:
The Seaweed mask provides lipids, proteins, minerals and vitamins which moisturize and nourish all skin types. Also contains chamomile for calming the skin after any treatment.
- Chamomile is ideal to replenish and enrich dry or sensitive skin. Anti-itching and antiseptic properties also help refresh the skin and reduce inflammation.
- Comfrey Leaf Extract is a well-known herb that heals blemishes.
- Wakame (Seaweed) Extract is used to normalize, nourish, and hydrate the skin, as well as regenerate cells, detoxify, and provide suppleness.
- Aloe Leaf Juice soothes and calms redness and inflammation, and it provides gentle hydration while protecting the skin from external aggression.
- Allantoin soothes and calms the skin. It also relieves itching and irritation.
- Tea Tree Oil provides antiseptic properties to reduce the spread of infectious material that encourages acne. It naturally reduces oil production without stripping the skin of protective barriers that prevent future breakouts.
The Kukui & Macadamia Nourishing Mask is packed with antioxidants, hydration and anti-inflammatory ingredients.
- The kukui and macadamia nut oils (as well as hyaluronic acid) soften and heal dry, chapped skin.
- The flowers chamomile, plumeria, and orchid moisturize and reduce inflammation.
- Also packed full of Vitamin C (Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate) and Vitamin E (Tocopherol) for a surge of antioxidants for bright, glowing skin.
- NOTE: IF YOU HAVE AN ALLERGY TO NUTS, THIS IS NOT THE MASK FOR YOU.
1 Hour Service – $70
Product of the Month – Couleur Caramel
The #1 Organic Makeup In France
Something NEW and exciting for you at the shop! A healthy, natural makeup that takes care of your skin while respecting the environment!

When I was at the tradeshow in March, I came across this booth and decided to give it a closer look. I bought a few pieces to bring home and try: Lipstick, Lip Liner, Eye Liner, Primer and Foundation. I have enjoyed using all of them so decided to bring some couleur (color) into the shop!

New Posts on the Raspberry Moon Blog
If you don’t subscribe to the RM blog (and why not sign up right now?), you may not realize we’ve posted several new articles lately. Here are links to some of our latest, which were inspired by the Skin Script conference last month.

Honey Inside and Out – Honey has many advantages both topically and internally. Find out how it’s made, how it’s used both in skincare and cooking, local places to buy it and more.
Alcohol in Skincare – For Shame or No? – A few weekends ago at the Skin Script Empowerment Retreat, we got to hear from the John Stanek, the formulator behind Lisa’s magic and probably one of the fastest speakers I have ever heard! One of the topics he spoke about was alcohol in skincare, specifically in the Skin Script line and why it is used.
WTH Do All These Words Mean That I Can’t Pronounce! – Have you ever looked at an ingredient label and thought WTH does all this mean? Here are some large words you may find on your skincare bottles and what they actually refer to.
Peptides in Skincare – So what the heck are peptides and why do I care? Read on for the purpose of peptides and a list of common peptides and their benefits.
Appointments and Online Booking
Did you know that we now have an online booking system? Check it out at www.RaspberryMoonST.com (click the Book Your Appointment button on the right). This system enables us to send appointment confirmations, reminders, and allows you to change your appointment.
I do my best to get everyone in at their preferred times. If for any reason you are unable to make your appointment please let me know a minimum of 2 days beforehand. You will receive an email when you book your appointment and should also receive your appointment reminders via email 2 days beforehand. Please be sure to check your spam folder and add us to your safe list! Remember this is a courtesy reminder, not reading your emails is not a good reason for missing your appointments. If you do not show up for your appointment or cancel with less than 24 hour notice you will be charged the full service. I understand emergencies happen but we all need to respect each other’s time.
Out of the office:
- June 15 to 29 – Hawaii with Mom to do the Big Island and maybe Kauai
- Aug 17-20 – PA for Nana’s Birthday
And as of right now that is it! LOL
Mom is officially retiring and June 14th is her last day at school. Since this is her first year living in the States since 1990 she is already planning holiday stuff! First on the list is an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. It is too hot in Okinawa for that so she has been waiting for years to have one.
Sundays I will be working thru the end of 2019:
- June 30
- July 28
- Aug 25
- Sep 29
- Oct 27
- Nov 24
- Dec 22
