The Speakers and Topics
Aromatherapy for Female Health
A fantastic tool to have in your medicine cabinet, essential oils can balance and provide relief from PMS to menopause, anxiety to depression. The most powerful plant medicine, they effectively relieve pain, balance hormones, relax the muscles, and uplift the mood.
Cate Alber, certified aromatherapist from Pure on Main will be demonstrating how to use Essential Oils to help with all the challenges of menopause. You might remember the blog posts I did a few months ago with the fab tips Cate gave us for spring/summer essential oil use. Cate studied with Cheryl Hoard in St. Louis, MO, and the East West School of Herbal and Aromatic Studies. She has worked and studied the field of natural health since 2008, and has been practicing Aromatherapy in Greenville since 2013.
Acupuncture and Menopause
How can acupuncture help us during this new stage of life? This topic will be laid out more like a Q&A session so come prepared with your questions and ask away.
Amber Addision from Creative Health is my acupuncturist and I just love her. She attended the College of Charleston for her undergraduate and holds a Master’s degree from the Atlantic University of Chinese Medicine in North Carolina. She is a nationally certified Diplomate in Acupuncture and is currently licensed in North and South Carolina. Amber practices Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), one of the oldest continuous systems of medicine in history. She is passionate about this ancient Chinese art and is dedicated to providing the highest level of care, assessing the entire constitution of each patient, physiologically and psychologically.
Is it ME or is it my HORMONES?
Learn to recognize the symptoms of hormone imbalance and become informed on ways to stay healthy during this time of your life.
Pam Bramlett, RPh from Compounding Solutions always loved going into the chemistry lab and creating medicines from scratch from pharmaceutical powders while in college at the University of Georgia. Pam has spent the last 3 years gaining knowledge of the compounding industry by attending training conferences on innovative compounding techniques and attending seminars on Bio-Identical Hormones. She is excited about opening Compounding Solutions on Pelham Road in her hometown of Greenville, SC and looks forward to working together with practitioners and patients to achieve better outcomes through customized compounded medications.
