Get Fit with a FacialFacial of the Month – Get Fit with a Total Fitness Facial

Getting fit this year is as easy as picking up the phone and booking your facial! So much easier than crunches, pull ups, and aerobics - though all these things also help you have better skin!

The Total Fitness Facial is a lifting, contouring, pore tightening treatment with anti-oxidant ingredients that soothe, nourish and strengthen the skin. This is the perfect facial for mature, dry, or dehydrated skin. For only $65 you can get fit and relaxed for a whole glorious hour without ever breaking a sweat.

Call me at 864-271-2710 to book your Total Fitness Facial today. Or better yet, since I am going to be in Colombia for the first two weeks, send me an email at Nicole@RaspberryMoonST.com.

Product of the Month – Hungarian Wellness Mud

You have made those New Year's resolutions and are dragging your butt to the gym everyday. Congratulations! With all of your working out this month you are bound to have sore muscles. Use the wellness mud of spa professionals.

Hungarian Wellness MudT is used in medicinal spas across Hungary for a wide variety of health problems including chronic degenerative diseases of the joints and the spine, rheumatic and muscular pains, sports-related injuries, fibrositis syndrome, chronic joint inflammations and gynecological inflammations.

Hungarian Wellness MudT has proved to be extremely effective for today's needed detoxification, cellulite, cell renewal, deep skin cleansing and stress management therapies. It can be used as a facial mask and has shown to improve the skin cells' metabolism, gently soothe skin irritations, and adds a refreshing look to dull-paled skin.

I have used this on my wrist when it has been inflamed and after I had dislocated my knee. It is wonderful, it usually fixes my wrist right away and it helped take the swelling in my knee down. If you have a sore area simply mix the mud with water and put it on thick, leave for about 20 minutes and then wash off. You can also put the whole pack of mud in the bath for a detoxifying treatment.

A 4 oz pack is regularly $24, but through the month of January try our Hungarian Wellness Mud for only $14 ($10 savings). Supplies are limited and only valid on in stock items. Once you fall in love with it we can order you larger sizes!

Resolve to Get Your Makeup in Order!

When's the last time you cleaned your makeup brushes? Maybe never, right? Well, resolve to change your habits this year and get your beauty supplies in order. After all, you wouldn't eat off the same utensil and bowl every day without cleaning it regularly, would you? The same should go for your makeup brushes!

Clean your makeup brushes regularlyGather all your makeup brushes together (including the small ones inside your compacts) and gently clean them one by one by swirling in your palm along with a small amount of liquid hand soap. Rinse in warm water until the water is clear. Squeeze the water out of the brush (gently - don't squish!) and lay on a washcloth or towel to dry.

If the brush is round, maintain its shape by letting the brush part hang off the edge of the counter while it dries.

Keep a 50-50 mix of distilled water and rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle on your vanity to disinfect brushes on a regular basis - simply spray with the solution and dry with a paper towel. You can also use this solution to disinfect your eyelash curler, tweezers, nail tools, and more. (And don't forget about the Colorescience Brush Cleaner for your Colorescience brushes. It's gentler on the brushes than soap or the alcohol solution.)

GENTLEMEN: These tips are for you, too! Clean your tweezers, nail trimmers, nose clippers, hairbrushes, and combs with the alcohol solution at least once a month, if not once a week!

Question of the Day: When Does Makeup Expire?

The Average Shelf Life of Different Types of Makeup:

Eye shadow lasts 1 yearBlush: 2 years
Concealer: 1 year
Eye pencils: 1 year
Eye shadow: 1 year
Foundation: 6 months - 1 year
Lip pencils: 1 year
Lipstick: 1 - 1 ˝ years
Mascara: 3 - 6 MONTHS
Powder: 2 years
All Skincare items 6 months - 1 year

If the product is organic or "natural" there are fewer preservatives, so shelf life is shorter.

Tip: If you have bought new skincare for your face but still have some old stuff left that has not expired, then simply put it in the shower and use it up. You can use your old facial moisturizer on your body or décolleté. No sense in throwing product away.

If you have had some type of eye infection you should throw away any eye product that you have used, or you risk reinfection!

Mineral Make-up is a whole other ball game as far as shelf life goes. Colorescience must put an expiration date on anything rated with an SPF because the FDA requires it; the product does not actually expire. The minerals do not break down; they are safe to use. However, it is best to not leave product sitting around forever.

As long as you have not been ill and have not put a contaminated part in your powder, eye shadows, blushes, etc., they will be fine. The nice thing about our genie bottles is you tap out the product you need so even if you get an eye infection your product is not contaminated.
